Who can join My Worldschool Hubs?

Anyone and everyone is welcome!

The intention is to encourage the ever-growing community of home schoolers, un-schoolers, world schoolers and people who are open minded to such communities.

We understand that as we grow in life, we meet people from all backgrounds; My Worldschool Hub is a safe place for this and we welcome locals and traditionally schooled families to join us should they wish to. We believe there’s no better way to share the wonders of this lifestyle and encourage everyone to live their dreams.

What ages are your hubs aimed at?

All Ages are welcome! The itineraries are designed differently for each trip so we can tailor them to suit different age groups and interests.

This includes babies, toddlers, tweens and teens! Kidults are also welcome! (yes, that’s you grown up’s who are done adulting and just want to have fun!)

What do we get when we join a hub?

In the most simplistic terms, this is what you get… however, the value and work behind these are not quite as simple so please bear that in mind 🙂

  • Social media connection and access to group chats pre-hub and throughout
  • Pre-hub pen pal opportunities for the kids (where possible)
  • pre-hub Zoom call for introductions, information and connections
  • Charli as your host – a friendly face and helping hand for the duration of the hub. Your point of contact for questions, concerns and comments.
  • A fully customised (adaptable) itinerary drawn up specifically for that hub
  • Daily activities aimed specifically at the group signed up
  • Learning opportunities (eg.: castle visits, museum visits or workshops)
  • Opportunities to meet, play, learn and connect with families like your own!

You are responsible for your inwards and onwards travel, accommodations and dining arrangements.
Recommendations and links are provided for all along with budget information

Will there be a tour guide?

Tour guide’s may be hired or included for certain activities within the itinerary.

A host will act as your point of contact for any hub-related needs you may have. Please be kind and conscientious; The host is not a tour guide and is there to enjoy the hub connections too!

What’s in the itinerary?

The itinerary will include details of all activities scheduled, optional and recommended for the duration of the hub. It will have details of meeting times, activity expected duration, what to expect from each activity, the location and access details as well as a list of local recommendations and references for your trip.

Every itinerary will be different as they are custom built depending on the families joining the hub. We do promise a variety of free and cheaper activities and always try toto include some educational aspects (such as museums, workshops or historical sites for example).

You’ll find a bit of extra information on the dedicated page for the hub you’re interested in joining.

The itinerary takes a lot of work and time to create so, unfortunately, we cannot share this with you unless you have signed up to join the specified hub.

If your question is more budget or logistically curious and you can’t see what you need to know, send us a message and we will do our best to get the relevant sharable information for you.

How much does it cost to join a hub?

The base cost for each hub will vary and can be seen on the page for the specified destination/dates.

Additional expected costs are also listed on the hub’s page so you can budget for what suits you.

Can we get help with organising our trip?

While My Worldschool Hub cannot book your trip for you, we are more than happy to help. When you sign up, you will receive a document outlining ideas, suggestions and recommendations on airports, car hire, camping or accommodations. If you are still in need of assistance, please do get in touch and we will do what we can to support you.

What if I’m on a budget?

We are budget friendly! You have full control over your accommodations and travel arrangements… stay in a campsite, campervan, airbnb or swanky hotel but we encourage you to stay in your budget!

The itineraries include all major activities organised for the hub so you can budget more effectively. Any additional activity costs expected will be listed in the information for the hub and will be optional.

If you are in need of help to find budget friendly accommodation options for the trip, please get in touch and we will be happy to advise you, or even facilitate some hub-shares on accommodation or car rentals, where possible.

Check the details for the hub you’re looking at and you’ll also find some budgeting advice for that area like how much to expect to spend on food, getting around or extra activities you may want to try seperately from the group.

If you would like to discuss alternative ways to pay, we will be happy to hear from you. We would love to make our hubs as accessible as possible.

Can we make suggestions?

We would LOVE to hear your suggestions for new places, dates and more!
You’re also welcome to suggest a must-do for an itinerary on sign up… we check it all and do our best to make everyone happy!

Is my pet welcome?

We would love to encourage you to travel full family!

Our family also have a dog and so we love including her in activities where she is welcome. If informed in advance, we will try to allow for an itinerary where pets may be more included.

Please do note however, that there may be many activities where your pet is not allowed. Feel free to get in touch with us if you are concerned about organising care for your pet while the humans enjoy certain activities.

If there is anyone who is allergic to pets signed up already, we may have to discuss the best compromises to allow everyone to get the most from the hub.

Can I leave my kids alone with you?

You are responsible for your family at all times while connecting via My Worldschool Hub. Children may not come to a hub without supervising adults.

If you befriend or trust another parent to supervise your child(ren) at any point of the hub (this can often happen), the liability for your child stays with yourself and My Worldschool Hub can take no responsibility for the care of your children.

We do not provide a childcare, child minding, school or babysitting services. We are happy to make suggestions to locals who may provide one of these services, where possible, if you need them but, accept no liability for the use of these services.
